The Heritage & Roots Tour is our signature diaspora journey. Over 7 days, you'll trace the routes of history through Accra, Cape Coast, Elmina, and Kumasi. Every stop is guided by locals who understand the depth of these sites — not just the history, but the emotional weight they carry for African Americans and the global diaspora. This is not tourism. This is homecoming.

Traveler Reviews
I've been saying I'd go to Ghana for 15 years. When I finally walked through the Door of No Return at Cape Coast Castle, I understood why it took me so long — I wasn't ready. Now I've been three times. GhanaRoots handled everything. Our guide Kofi knew every stone of those castles and every emotion we were feeling. Book this tour.
I brought my mother and daughter — three generations standing in Cape Coast Castle together. The guide was patient, knowledgeable, and deeply respectful of the emotional weight of these places. The kente village in Kumasi was a highlight. The food was incredible. This is not a vacation. It's a homecoming.
The logistics were seamless — airport pickup, comfortable hotels, great food. The heritage sites are powerful and the guides give them the reverence they deserve. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is I wish we had one more day in Kumasi. I'll be back.
